Message from the National Convenor of BLF: Andile Mngxitama

By BO Staff Writer

The following message has been penned by the BLF National Convenor, Andile Mngxitama, highlighting the upcoming NCC meeting of BLF and the mass killings of black people in the United States, and the subsequent need for solidarity amongst blacks around the world.

Revolutionary greetings

The extended National Coordination Committee (NCC) of Black First Land First (BLF) is scheduled to meet over two days next weekend (16-17 July) in Johannesburg. The meeting shall review the resolutions of the launch conference, the implementation of the Black Agenda and it shall develop a program of action for the next 3 years including building the student movement.

The NCC shall also provide direction on the ongoing Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) saga and the position our movement should take with regards to the upcoming Local Government Election (LGE).

Our movement is part of the global struggle for the liberation of black people everywhere on earth. The ongoing mass killings of blacks in the USA is part of the white supremacist machinery that kills us everywhere. The main logic of white power is to murder us into submission. They want blacks to accept that we live to be murdered. We must continue to refuse. It is for this reason that BLF shall undertake solidarity action with our sisters and brothers in the USA. We are one people and we are all under siege by the same enemy.

We must continue to educate ourselves on the main thrust of our ideological orientation which is Pan Afrikanism and Black Consciousness. Thomas Sankara teaches us that, “a soldier without political education is a potential criminal”

We do not have the time to agonize, we must organize!

Land or death!
