The following statement was previously published on the Black First Land First website:
Black First Land First (BLF) congratulates the people of Ecuador in their victory over the International Monetary Fund (IMF) which repealed Decree 883 and thereby reversed the elimination of the fuel subsidy together with the rest of the neoliberal measures.
We acknowledge the courageous role of the Ecuadorean indigenous nationalities (as well as all the other progressive forces) during in their 12 days of heroic struggle that preceded the revocation of Decree 883.
BLF stands in solidarity with the people of Ecuador in their just struggle against imperialism including the neoliberal policies of the World Bank and IMF.
Long live Ecuador!
