“The ANC has betrayed its founding mission” – BLF President

It’s 110 years of ANC existence and almost 39 years of betrayal of its founding mission. The ANC was founded in response to the Natives Land Bill which was finally enacted on the 19th of June 1913. The African intellectuals and nobility at the time closed ranks irrespective of tribe and language to form a blacks only African nationalist organisation to fight for land as the basis of real freedom.

The ANC at its inception correctly excluded whites from its membership. The years after its formation saw a maturation ideoligically with the formation of the ANC Youth League which deepened black nationalism and articulated a pro-black program of action to take the fight to the racist settler colonial regime.

With the untimely death of Anton Lembede the ANC was captured by white liberals, hence the adoption of the Freedom Charter which gives the land away to the settlers. It was this betrayal of the land question which led to the formation of the Pan Africanist Congress (PAC).

This sell-out of the land question because of white influence, finally found expression in Section 25 of the “post” apartheid constitution. That section entrenched the property rights of land thieves. This explains why in almost 30 years of ANC rule blacks remain landless in South Africa.

President Zuma tried to return the ANC to its original mandate of land return when he articulated the need for Land Expropriation Without Compensation. But the real owners of the ANC saw to it that he was replaced by a puppet of settler colonialism, Cyril Ramaphosa. Under the pretext of fighting corruption the ANC is rooting out all the leaders who uphold the original mission of the ANC.

Almost 30 years of the ANC rule vindicates the Africanists who said the ANC has beyrayed the land question. It serves us well to remember that at one time the ANC had a two thirds majority under Thabo Mbeki and didn’t use it.

The ANC has turned into a party of petty thieves who accumulate at the expense of the poor. The real source of this petty thieving is the lack of economic transformation. The ANC has left the wealth of the nation in white hands and in turn the whites use their economic power to control politics. That’s why white monopoly capital paid the CR17 campaign over R1 billion to buy the ANC Nasrec Conference which elected the bought President Ramaphosa.

There shall be no meaningfull transformation until the ANC returns to the path of its original mandate or is kicked out of power and replaced not by sellouts who are in coalition with land thieves but political formations that are guided by black nationalism and put blacks first.
