Lessons from Burkina Faso

There is coup in Burkina Faso right now. What are the lessons of a failed revolution? In 2014, the people burnt parliament and deposed the dictator, Blaise Compaoré. That revolutionary moment did produce a revolutionary breakthrough.

We also live under a bubbling revolutionary situation. Even the anti kwerekwere sentiment is a degenerate inward-looking pent up revolutionary energy. We saw in July last year a revolutionary moment without a revolutionary movement.

The revolution is a school!
